April 2015

Dear Friends,

Psa 90:12  “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

It was our joy to celebrate the 30th

anniversary of Calvary Baptist Church

on February 8, 2015. As we look back over all that God has done at Calvary, our hearts are full to overflowing with gratitude and praise. It was a blessing to be able to preach at Calvary once again and rejoice with our good people for the way God has worked there in the past and continues to do so. Calvary has added 26 new members and Pastor Taylor has recently baptized 9 new believers.

We are also rejoicing in the wonderful ways that God is working through Windows of Heaven Ministries in the present. God provided the funds to be able to provide fresh, running water to a Bible Institute in India. We thank the Lord that these preacher boys will now be connected to a permanent, clean water source.

In March, we were happy to speak for the senior adults’ (Primetimers) retreat at Bethel Baptist Church in Hampton VA. They are a great group of people who are fun to be with. On Sunday, Cookie taught the ladies Sunday school class and I taught the men’s class and preached in their morning service. It was a blessing to be with these good people.

Please pray for me because I have had some physical problems this quarter. I was scheduled for a knee replacement in February but the doctors cancelled it because they now think my pain is coming from a nerve problem in my back.

They are treating it with a series of injections which seem to be helping. I was so happy that the Lord provided me with a ministry that I could do from our home while I was under doctor’s care.

One way I was able to minister at home was the opportunity to work with Bro. Jan Milton and Operation Renewed Hope (ORH) in planning the development of a new ministry right here in Simpsonville, SC. Someone is donating several acres to ORH for a medical mission institute.

Bro. Jan has named this new opportunity the David Livingston Institute of Medical Missions. His vision is to use the property to instruct and encourage young people who are seeking God’s will for their lives and the direction for their future. Please pray for the finalization of the land donation and for the development funds.

  1. God’s provision for our ministry needs.
  2. God’s blessing on Calvary Baptist Church.
  3. God’s provision of money for wells in India.

  1. Wisdom for a construction mission trip to St. Lucia in November.
  2. Wisdom for the development of DLIMM.
  3. Wisdom for my doctors as they continue to treat my medical need.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support.  Without your help we could not do all that God has for us to do in Windows of Heaven Ministries.

Lord bless you all,

Guy and Cookie Altizer
